    You can tell when an umpire is working hard to do a good job just like you can tell when a player is playing hard or going through the motions. Stretchlon and his umpire crew's are outstanding. I do agree with the earlier post about the guys coming in in a blow out and having to deal with an expanded strike zone. Just be consistent. The good ones are.

    Nothing frustrates me more than the automatic 3-0 strike called.

    Agree with F3 and 4-6-3 DP. Automatic 3-0 infuriates me. Anything close and the pitcher gets the call. Good point about widening the zone on the kids that are just getting in teh game. That would be very frustrating.
