    The winners are

South Caldwell over McDowell....McDowell could win this one but I just don't think they have enough defense to get a stop when they need it.

AC Reynolds over East Burke......I'm not sold on East Burke untill they beat somebody. If they win here they get attention.

Alexander Central over Watauga........Cougars destroyed Watauga last year and for sure the defense is not as good but they will win whether Brietenstien plays or not.

Asheville over Freedom.......Freedom will be glad to start playing league games. 0-4 vrs Cleveland and Buncombe Counties.

Here are my picks for this week...

McDowell over South Caldwell: I think the Titans are going to use Saturday's win as a building block for the rest of the season. As Wise One said earlier all the Titans need to do is make a stop on defense at the right times and they could win. I still think we can win as many as 3 games in the conference schedule if for no other reason because we got Kincaid back there who can score at any moment in the game either on offense or on kickoffs.

AC Reynolds over East Burke: This is a hard game to call, I think East Burke is the real deal and even though the game is in Icard I'm going to pick Reynolds by the smallest of margins.

Watuaga over Alex. Central: The Pioneers should get their first win in conference against a Cougar defense that is a shell of their former selves.

Asheville over Freedom: Freedom will hang with Asheville for a while but the Cougars got too many weapons in the end.
