    Class of 2011

The Carolina Copperheads 14U Majors team from last season are primarily 2011 guys. They finished 10th at AAU Nationals in Sarasota and were only 1 of 3 teams (out of 41 in total) to go undefeated through their first 5 games. In those 5 games, they also played and beat 2 of the teams finishing in the top 8. This group of guys included:

    Connor Angus '10 Hopewell
    John Auten '11 Hopewell
    Joe Bertone "12 future Hopewell
    Alex Carmichael '11 Hopewell
    George Carter '11
    Nate Cooper '11 N. Meck
    Michael Hagwood '11
    Justin Hammond '11 Hopewell
    Ethan Harter '11
    Kendall Hooks '10
    Blaine Lewis '11 Hickory Grove
    Hunter May '10 Hopewell
    Michael Russell '11 Hopewell
    Taylor Thurber '11 Lake Norman

the 15U Caldwell Spartans are not that great...there all time record for this group is 56-80...my current teams the Mooresville Gators have an all time record of 169-103...our team also does not pick up players from all around the state. our entire team consists of Mooresville, Lake Norman, and West Rowan HS and the Mooresville Racers have an all time record of 226-186 but that is a completely stacked team. don't judge teams based on their rankings until at least mid season or later.

    JUDGING

Hey, I'm not judging them USSSA is the one that does the ranking! Oh yea, all players ARE from one school not all over the county. Don't bash a good thing. Why does everone look back to last year? Look at this way-- 2006- they moved up quickly from AA to AAA and now to MAJOR- great goings guys. Give them a little credit!:31:
