The offense is great and so is buggy. I just wish McDowell had a kicker that could kick a field goal. So when we get down close and stall out on penalties we can atleast still get 3 out of it. Way to go on the win friday night, it was big.

Thats a valid point. Can Cameron Webb not kick field goals? He seems to be pretty dead on with the PAT (which is from about 17-20 yards). But then again, we have a culinary arts teacher as the kickers' coach - who knows more about spiral hams than he does end-over-end place kicks.

wow get another win and we start taking cheap shots at the coaches im glad you guys are showing your true colors. it was a great game friday night and lets stay positive with this. we finally got some defense to go along with kincaids 294 3 td effort. it looked like he ran harder in the second half. he got tackled alot by shoe strings in the first half and thats not usual for buggy. im not doubtin his effort maybe i just got so used to him breaking tackles it seems like he should do it everytime lol. well congrats to the titans and there 1-0 conference record. they better get ready because a big, pissed off freedom team is coming to marion friday night.

i know its early but whats the predcitions on player of the year?

    MVP Candidates

Buggy is the obvious choice right now, the defensive MVP as of now would be David Alger at Watauga, leading the state in tackles. Other possible winners are EB, Spencer, the fullback at east burke, Josh Russell.

Im not cheap-shotting anyone....But dont you think MHS, who has endured the past few seasons as being unable to placekick, could have hired an individual with some experience in booting the ball? I mean Joe Hester is a fine individual, but he's not my first, second, or last choice to coach in placekicking.

Cameron Webb has good form and could be very valuable in getting points on the board should the offense not get into the end zone. I am wondering why he's not being utilized except for extra points.

To be honest the way McDowell is playing on offense lately they either score a touchdown or go 3 and Out. I bet I can count on one hand the number of times we have been faced with a 4th down play and long yardage yet inside "manageable" field goal range (my idea of manageable in high school would be inside the 20).

Ok...Say if we get inside the 20 or face 4th down within striking range, what would Webb's kicking range be and could he get a kick in?

im sayin hes good from 20- 25 away. i been watchin him in pre game and hes not got alot of distance on him. hes a perfect extra point man but hes a first year kicker and he doesnt have the striking technique down to be good from 30-40 yards. not consistently anyway. and if u dont know what you are gonna get wouldnt you rather give it to mr kincaid whos still averaging 10.4 a carry? by the way 1688yds, 17 tds, 10.4 ypc since this is his forum anyway

There are alot of Titans fans who wonder the same thing. Let's face it we've not had a good kicker in many years. How many games are won by a kick ?
And no it's not cheap shotting Hester but the man's a chef not a football coach, I don't care how well he feeds the team if asked to,what I care about it getting a coach who has history in coaching football not softball. I've said it before you'd think with the size of our coaching staff we were contenders again for a state title..
