    Per Herald-Sun:

The Tarheels 13-man class was ranked seventh nationally and 2nd in the ACC.
Led by recruiting coordinator Chad Holbrook, the Tarheels had great success recruiting from the state of North Carolina. UNC added four of the top 10 in-state prospects in Patrick Johnson (RHP, Conover), Ben Bunting (CF,Randleman), Greg Holt (3B/RHP, Clemmons) and Ryan Leach (RHP/IF, Forest City).
Rounding out the Tarheels class are: Zeke Blanton (OF, Forest City), Garrett Davis (RHP,Fremont), Michael Knox (1B,Cary), Logan Munson (LHP,Columbia,SC), Robbie Penny (RHP,Whiteville), Tarron Robinson (LHP, Chapel Hill), and Brett Thomas (1b,Columbia, SC).
LSU claimed the top class followed by Florida State at no. 2. Atlantic Coast Conference ooponents Virginia (#13), Miami (#20) Clemson (#21) and Geogia Tech (#23) also earned spots in the top 40 rankings.

    ECU/NCSU

UNC obviously did a great job in-state, but ECU and NCSU is not to shabby. Who do you think did the best job keeping our boys at home?

    ECU:
    Cam Freeman (INF) Fayetteville
    Dustin harrington (INF/P) Taylorsville
    Seth Maness (RHP) Pinehurst
    Brad Mincey (RHP) Wilmington
    Seth Simmons ( RHP) Lewisville
    Stihl Sowers (RHP) Grifton
    Trent Whitehead (OF) Washington

    NCSU:
    Jake Buchanan (RHP) Gastonia
    Dusty Quattlebaum (INF) Shelby
    Grant Sasser (LHP) Goldsboro
    Vance Williams (RHP) Raleigh

That is a GREAT class signed by ECU. Very deep in impressive arms. They are mining the heck out of the North Lenoir juggernaut.

    UNCW recruitment class

Although there is no guarantee to a incoming recruitment class i believe the class that wilmington brought in will surprise people with their talent.

You're absolutely right. I totally forgot about the Seahawks. They have an outstanding class coming in:

    Cody Stanley (C) Clinton
    David Shambley (C) Cary
    Tyler Stott (IF/OF) Carolina Beach
    Alex Hill (OF) Charlotte
    Stephen Harrold (RHP) Raleigh
    Justin Bradley Carolina beach
    Tyler Smith Forest City

NC talent gets better every year. Gonna be a lot of fun watching these guys star at the next level. Good luck to them all.

Thats two straight years ECU has brought in a great class. Combine this years recruits with the guys that were redshirted last year and it would be tough to find a better class.

The following were redshirted and will be FR this year:

    Devin Harris
    Shane Small
    Bobby Fowler
    Zach Cooper

  7. Collin

Collin get in there get in there

Why isn't Harvey on Carolina's list? Did he not enroll?

    Yes

Yes, he is on the roster. We were mainly talking in-state recruits.

    Wow....pretty strong looking redshirt class.

4-6-3....have you seen any of the scrimmage games? Just wondering how our local Charlotte boy Shane Smalls is doing?

He actually sent me a text yesterday. He is healthy (had a slight nerve problem this summer) and throwing the ball well. He seemed to be pretty excited. You have to keep in mind that last year was his first full season of nothing but baseball. From what I understand, he was a pretty good basketball player as well. If he stays healthy, we could be talking about him being a high round draft pick in a couple of years.
