Starting with the ’07-’08 school year, body paint is not permitted in any sport at any time during the season.extended a ban on body paint for spectators from just NCHSAA playoff games to all games, helping to provide some
consistency.
No more details than that. Still think it's dumb. I know some students had their arms painted and were told they couldn't do that. I can understand if they banned the shirtless guys because they may see that goes against dress codes, but arms???
Guess they'll just have to buy lot's of white t-shirts and paint on them...

I've heard a couple of reasons...one is that somewhere in america either a college student or high school student came to a game with no shirt on, just body paint...doubt this one is true, but who knows.

The other one I heard, that's a little more reasonable when you think about it is, if a student comes to the game with their face painted and they delve into something mischevious while there, their face may not be identifiable.

"it was the kid with the green and orange striped face, no shirt and a #12 painted on his chest.."

plus thats hardly a reason to kick a kid out if he paints his arms...

 

Another way to take fun out of being in high school. Just one word for the nchsaa "STUPID"

 

And I did mean that the alledged student that came to a game without a shirt on and just body paint was female...my bad for leaving that part out.

 

Give the Asbrook kids credit. They now tape the letters for Asbrook on their chest. Of course it seems that would be painful taking it off.

 

that it would....probably didn't think of that before they did it. i'd try hittin up wal-mart for some beaters and paint before the game
