Do a search on Freddy Suggs and the Anglers on this message board. You will find out a lot of info about him. Also check his web site: www.ccprospects.net

Also ask Coach Evans. He has coached with Suggs the past 2-3 years. His opinion of Freddy Suggs should be valued.

Not 100% positive but I think he coaches with the Copperheads. When my son's team played them the other day a parent from the other team told me their coach was Freddy Suggs.

Coach Evans can yuo speak on this matter. Does Freddy have the connection to get a player looked at by D1 or prospect at a higher level.

Freddy has been working with the MLB Bureau as a scout for several years. He also has 21 years of experience coaching the Angler's. And yes after this fall season Freddy will be brining the Angler's back for next year. All I can say is IF the player has the ability to play D1 or above
Freddy sure can get him seen, but he does not preform miracles.

Are there major differences in his program and what you might find with the Heat, Dirtbags or Panthers. I have heard lots of good things about Freddy but wanted to know if he gets you in front of the scouts and in the ournaments to get seen like those other sowcase programs (dirtbags, heat, ect.)

This was quoted from an earlier post:

Freddy got 23 players committed from his 2007 team plus a couple of kids who did not even play but 1 game for him. These were D1 and D2 schools. There really isn't any difference between him and the other showcase teams out there. Some teams choose to go to East Cobb and Florida to play in tourneys, he doesn't due to the cost to the parents. He is all about the kids. Besides doing a couple of fund raiser he takes his own money to run the team. He has not charge his players a penny to play for him. He holds his own tournaments (CCprospects) plus and plays in tournaments in South Carolina and Virginia.

    Freddy gets it done

My son played with Freddy for two years with the Copperheads.
He is a no non-sense, straight forward scout that will tell you like it is.
He will tell you if you have what it takes to play at the D-1, JC, D-II level.
He will be honest about your skill level, whether you like it or not.

Freddy sets high expectations for how a player is supposed to look, act, and represent his team, family, and school. When Freddy says that this kid is a "Ball Player" it is an extreme compliment. While his teams normally do not play in the high profile (expensive tournaments) in FL & GA , he works extremely hard in promoting his players. He spends countless hours contacting college coaches around the south. I feel that he was very instrumental in getting my son noticed, and I'm sure there are many others. From the 2007 season- 23 players are now playing at the next level. I would say that is pretty successful.

There a lot of good programs out there. Good Luck with whatever you choose. MAke sure you ask a lot of questions so the program meets the demands of your family.
