Yes, I look forward to meeting you as well.

I'm excited about being there this weekend. My daughter is a senior at ECU and my son has plans of touring campus after the game. See you Saturday!

Ok already! First time will be this year and really looking forward to the spectacle of it all. No doubt there'll be a lot of butterflies for players with a couple hundred scouts watching. See ya there!

    From perfectgame.org/

Another new record in the 2007 MLB Draft

Perfect Game once again broke its own record for the most participants drafted out of any scouting/showcase organization. A record 1048 players who attended Perfect Game events were selected by MLB organizations this June. Even though the draft had 48 fewer players picked than 2006, PG’s number increased by 96 players drafted. A new record was set for first round picks as well, when 54 Perfect Game participants were selected in the first and supplemental first round. Overall, more than 72% of those players drafted in the 2007 had attended a Perfect Game event. The 2006 Perfect Game National Showcase in Fayetteville, Arkansas had 112 players who were drafted this year, including 17 first round selections from that one showcase. Another 100 or so college players drafted had also attended the Perfect Game National while in high school.

Last year in 2006 Perfect Game shattered it's own record, set the previous year, when an astounding 952 PG participants were selected in the MLB draft. This accounted for over 63% of the entire draft! Over the six year span Perfect Game has seen 4,129 players drafted. In that same six year period, 194 first round picks who had attended PG events. That includes an amazing 54 this year who were selected in the first round and supplemental 1st.

In 2002 Perfect Game broke the record for all organizations for the most participants drafted with 364 Draft picks. In 2003 Perfect Game again broke the record when 409 PG participants were drafted by MLB Clubs. In 2004 Perfect Game once again broke the record when 533 PG participants were drafted by MLB Clubs. In 2005 Perfect Game again broke the record with 823 PG participants were drafted by MLB clubs.

Add to the above totals hundreds of Latin and other Free Agent signings that have come out of Perfect Game events. It has been estimated that by year 2008 or 2009 over half of all the players on Major League rosters will have attended Perfect Game events.

    Count me in

I'll be headed down on the 24th. It's my first trip and I can't wait to get there (mental health days needed badly)!
