EB-Watauga was not an upset, i think the official prediction was that both teams had a shot, and that an upset was impossible.

South-Freedom was not an upset either. Traditionally it would have been but not this season.

Unless ACR falls you can't really call much an upset this year in the NW4A

Freedom Sball Old Fart / I mean Old Ref here

Alright Freedom Sball - How wrong am I really? If you were on the sidelines last week, you tell me were is the problem?

East Burke over McDowell in a 28 point win, Maybe closer and Maybe a upset if the Titians have not given up the season. If the Titains think they can still win, then bring your best game up I-40 West Cavaliers.

Watauga over South Caldwell under 7. South is a team that seems to be getting it together, beware Watauga the Spartans are better then their record. Just ask Freedom.

Alexander Over Freedom by 45. Everyone knows by now even Freedom Sball that the only one's to really blame for the desire and hard nose play is the players themselves. Your right Freedon Sball the Patriots played a hardnosed in your face second half last week but like I said before - you gotta play two halfs not one. The Cougars will blow Freedom off the field this week. The Cougar Defense will run by a very soft and slow O-Line and all the soft running backs (they just dance or try to bounce outside but mainly dance)will look like pee wee players all but the big fullback he will run hard untill the Cougar front 8 smack him in the mouth and he'll fold and fumble. One other thing I think the backs and receivers are soft because they will not block for each other. The Freedom LB's and D-Line will play hard but will over pursue and make a ton of missed tackles, but at least they will play hard untill they get tired of playing all night. The secondary will - well lets just say they will be behind the LB's they have not played hard or smart all year. The Freedom defense is not like any of the Freedom defense's I've seen in the last 20 years. This defense might be the softess I have ever seen. Freedom Sball I really would love to see the Patriots win, I have seen them most of the year but I don't think they have any heart or backbone to them, talking to my grandson and his buddy's on the team they are full of excusses and most of them think way to much of themself's.

Alright Freedom Sball tell this "Old Fart" how wrong I am. Or better yet tell my Grandson how wrong he is. He is there every day and doing the summer workouts when most of his so called TEAM-mates are just playing around or laying out of practice. Now my Grandson is just average but he has worked pretty hard on his school work and his body, but he loves the game and I just wish he was among other kids who loved to play instead of cry and make excusse's. Face it Freedom Sball The 2007 Patriots are just a bunch of put-on wanna-be's. They will not play hard and tough because it's just to darn hard! They would rather make excuse's instead of pushing themself's to be better. I really wish they could get a fire because when they do play hard they are not a bad football team, ask Shelby and Crest. Freedom's Coach whom my grandson admires, needs to send most of the baby's and excuse makers home and put the ones who are team players on the field and let the chips fall where they may. Now Freedom Sball I know I'm critical of Freedom right now, I really don't want to down the kids, but sit in the stands and listen to these kids parents and you'll see why I fell the way I do. Good Luck Patriots-Plaese find some toughness about you and quit crying and start playing hard and together.

only watauga fans think that east burke's victory was an upset. They got punched in the mouth and run over, and alot of people saw it coming.

We didn't think it was an upset. But we did expect to win. Will ACR fans consider it an upset if they lose to Watauga in Boone? We won't!!!!!

ACR losing to Watauga will not be an upset because it will not happen! ACR is just to good for Watauga. As for EB being an upset win to Watuuga that is crazy what Watauga did last year is just that last year. This year it is clear that ACR and EB are the top two teams in the NW4A and any loss by them at this point of the season with their records and stats would be an upset. It would be nice if EB could play in the 4A play-off's with ACR, Watauga and EB the NW4A could have three strong teams there. Intead we will play the likes of Indy, Richmond and Butler ect. in the 4AA
This will only hold true for this year and then we will enter the 4A bracket

EB will beat McDowell by 28- Its proven EB can score and the defence is playing strong.
Watauga will beat South by 10- Watauga should be able to handle South if they show to play and not "expecting to win" as earlier stated.
Alexander will beat Freedom by 14- Freedom has nothing this year and friday will be the same.

I think that the only team in the NW4A that is improved over last year is East Burke. AC Reynolds does not have as good a team on either side of the ball, Watauga is not winning the big games, Alexander Central does not have the defense of a year ago, South Caldwell, McDowell, and Freedom are about the same as 2006 but in no way any better.

Make no mistake, Watauga's offense is way better than last years. We have one, maybe two, positions that need tweaking but everywhere else is better. Proof is in the ability to move the chains in multiple ways without killing Breitenstein. We would have still been rolling if we could have gotten East Burke's offense off of the field. Defensivley, we are weaker because of personel. I love our defensive scheme and we have guys that can play it. Defense wins games. Put your 11 best athletes on that side of the ball. I suggest.....:lipsrsealed2:. Doesn't really matter...this defense can hold it's own against South Caldwell and Freedom. This coaching staff will get it done.

Freedom, East Burke, Watauga for this week.
