I had heard about this young man but had never gotten the chance to actually see him pitch. Last weekend I finally did and Yes, he is very good. Micheal Wright from Whiteville HS RHP 6'5 175. This kid was outstanding. He has a great pitchers body with so much upside its ridiculous. He was pitching in the 88-89 range on a stalker and yes I saw it myself. He had outstanding off speed stuff and keeps the ball down in the zone very well. Look for him to make a college decision real soon. The college coaches present were all over him after his appearance this weekend. I talked to a couple of professional scouts present and they absolutely loved this guy.

Way to go Micheal Wright. Im looking forward to seeing him pitch in Jupiter. This kid missed most of the summer and fall due to being sick. I was really happy to see him do so well. Its alot of fun to see a kid turn heads like he did.

I imagine that was cool to see. Who will he play with in Jupiter? Does he play Showcase full time?

    Yes and No

He did not play this summer or fall much because he was sick. He is going to Jupiter with the Dirtbags. He played most of his Showcase baseball withe the Copperheads I believe. I got the chance to meet his dad who by the way is a great guy. We know him here on TBR as Superwright. Now I know why he picked that screen name!:13:

Thanks, Coach 27....Michael has worked very hard the last 2 years. It was a little disappointing for him that he was sick for so long. "Mono" is no joke! He's better now and he should continue to improve on his game. Hopefully, he will be able to help the Dirtbags in Jupiter....he's excited and so am I. We can't wait until next week! He really enjoyed this past weekend playing with the dirtbags and wow..... there's a lot of talented kids on this team...unbelievably! Michael is looking forward to this weekend at Wake Forest. He does have a college visit on Sat so he won't be able to attend the games Sat but he will be there for Sunday's games.
Oh yeah, "Superwright" is actually....Super=Supervisor and last name Wright.
    Michael is a 2008 graduate!

    College options....

.....or a better way to ask TBR is what colleges are in this kids mind as being his school for the next 4 years? I'm not asking who has contacted or recruited him at high/low or any level, my ? is where might he like to go to school?
