Breitenstein with an 88 yd td return to open the game. However this was definately a team win with Eric only carrying the ball 12 times for 84 yards.

Jake Wallace caught 2 balls for 99 yards and 2 tds.

Watauga had 173 yards passing on the night.

Well, when coach Haynie made the decision back in the spring to run the spread offense, he had tonight's performance in mind. Patrick Martin came out tonight and put together a performance that validated the high praise that he was given going into the season. Martin was 17-21, 197 yards and 3 TD's. The excellent play of the passing game helped compliment another good night fron Terrance Kincaid who ran for 206 and 2 TD's on 20 carries.

But once again the effort put forth by the offense was wiped out by a defense that gave up close to 500 total yards and 49 points.

BTW if was a near full house at Titan Stadium tonight, East Burke brought by far the largest visiting crowd of the season. Including the Cavalier Band, they filled up 80 percent of their side. The folks in Icard are having a great season and for some reason they're flying under the radar. This will be a dangerous squad in the playoffs.

The Blue Devils win big on Homecoming. Leading 49-14 in the third quarter, alot of second and third teamers got to see some action on both sides of the ball. next week its Mooresville @ W. Iredell who just happened to beat Statesville 14-6 tonight.
