    Coach May,

Even though my son is not going to be there, I really appreciate you posting this. He'll read it this weekend and I'll save this info. It's a good prep piece of info. Thanks for taking the time to share. Posts like this give this board value for parents. Thank you.

    You can bet

there will be alot of coaches at this event. And there will be schools from all levels as well. Last year at this same event there were numerous coaches. In fact there were so many they were stacked up behind one another at the bullpens. I know several college coaches that look at this event as one of the biggest for them. Its one of the last times of the year they are going to get a good look at this many players in one place. Plus there are some high profile 09's coming. This will definitely get some guys out. This is great for everyone else because they will see you as well. Again good luck to all the guys this weekend especially the 08's. I hope to be there Sunday and take in the games.

    Any Updates . . .

Any updates of plays, players, etc. would be much appreciated once this event concludes. Like to know what is coming up in the '09s as well as any 08s that might have helped themselves.

I was there on sat. for the Sr. workout. I'm not sure of the boy's name, but whoever #1 was looked very good in the infield drills. Easy actions fielding the ball, and a very strong arm to 1st base. I'd like to know who he is. I'm sure lots of coaches were intrigued with Jack Lane, a 6'8" rhp/1b from Hopewell HS. I didn't get to stick around for bp, maybe someone can weigh in on that.

I saw him as a sophomore and boy was I impressed with his upside. I'm surprised I haven't heard too much about him lately, but that's my fault. He is certainly interesting; if he can locate his pitches (the area I saw he needed to improve as a soph) then his future holds no boundaries.

I was there for only a couple of innings today, but I saw alot of high caliber players ('09).

I'm looking forward to the "Future Games" in High Point. This should be an outstanding event.

Does anyone have a list of schools that will in attendance this weekend.

I was out there for most of the unsigned seniors workouts Saturday. I saw coaches from Belmont-Abbey, USC-UpState, Western Carolina, App. State, Elon, Catawba, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mars Hill, Gardner-Webb, Wingate, Limestone. Also a Rep. from the MLB Scouting Bureau. Their were a lot more who I didn't recognize in attendance.

I guess they had right around 100 kids there. It was a great day weather wise and there definitely was some talent on the field.

    A few names...

Caught a couple games Sun. and most of the underclassman workouts.
William Henderson ('09/OF-RS Central) had a big day at the plate Sunday. Hammered two doubles deep to the gap in right center one was a ground rule as it bounced over the fence. Good speed, great arm and excellent tracking ability defensively. Brooks Hall ('09/INF/RHP) from TL Hanna in SC is a stud. 6' 4" frame, excellent infield actions, upper 80's from the bump, and hit a 3-run scud off the scoreboard in left. Joel McKeithan ('10/INF/TC Roberson) went deep for the blue. Zachary Burkhart (LHP/???) threw well for the red team. Matt Roberts ('10/C/Graham) does everything well behind the plate and can rake. Many others did very well also, these are just a few that impressed me enough to find out who they were.
