CPC predictions

how do think the CPC will end up this year

 

1 north davidson
2 mt tabor
3 west forsyth/davie
5 north forsyth/reynolds

as usual it may come down to the last few games to decide placement

 

The CPC looks to have another good year. North Davidson has to be the favorite this year. They return a ton of talent and have alot of arms. LHP Zach White and RHP Clay Watson will lead a very good pitching staff. They also return Levi Michael and Ben Redmond with alot of others. They will probably be a top 5 4A team in the preseason. Mount Tabor, West Forsyth, and Davie look to fight for the next 3 spots with Reynolds and North Forsyth. Mount Tabor returns LHP Mat Batts and several other position players in Tyler Vogler, Sam Rodgman, Brad Wrege, and many others. They have also had a pitcher transfer in that may fulfill the #2 starter. West Forsyth lost alot of players but they seem to reload every year. Garrison Lassiter and Chris Sanders return to lead a young, but talented team. They had one of the best JV's team last year and Coach Pope will have them ready to play. Davie lost alot to graduation, but return Brent Beam and Ryan Carter and several others from the junior legion team that made it to the State Championship this past summer. Rumor is that Garrett Benge will play this year and he will be a big asset to the pitching staff and depth in the outfield. Should be another outstanding year in the CPC.

 

Well this is what i love the pre season predictions for the CPC.
the CPC looks to be a little down this year as far as overall talent but could see some interesting games this spring.

1. North Davidson is the clear cut favorite to win the conference
Zack white will be the player to watch, watson, Redmond, and Michael will be exceptional players

2. Mt. Tabor - This is there year can upset North Davidson but this team is known to choke , Batts may be as good or better than White,rodagman will be a top player along with Wrege and don't forget about Vogler at shortstop

3. Davie County - Davie County has lost almost there entire starting lineup from last year but they just reload Carter will be the go to man. Senior Beam will be tough along with Cartner and Cope

4. West Forsyth - Don't count these guys out Lassiter is a stud .Roberson,Morrow will be tough not as strong as in the past

5. North Forsyth - Pardue will be the tough guy talent pool has dried up

6. Reynolds - Got to love there coach welch ashame he just does not have the talent to win.

Tabor Gets The Nod

When all other things are fairly equal.. Chemistry gets the nod. Tabor has it with everyone pretty much getting along and no self proclaimed stars. Several that are but you would never hear them say it or act it.. Just a bunch of mamas eating sunflower seeds by the bag full to ease HER nerves. You know who you are!! Good luck!

Also, I wouldn't count out West with a couple up and coming lefties and a bunch of others who can play! Last years' West JV for the most part were a bunch of great kids....Just MHO

 

North Davidson

Pretty good chemistry last year I would say. They came real close to knocking off South Caldwell and were probaly the second best team in the state. They return just about everyone. North Davidson is not just the favorite to win their conference they are the favorite to win the state title.

I dont know anything about self proclaimed stars. But I do know they have some stars. And they have some outstanding players playing with those stars. They have the experience as well. Mt Tabor will be very good. But if I had to lay some money down on this one I have to go with the team that showed they were capable of doing it by last seasons performance.

North Davidson is the team to beat. Did they not win the conference championship last year? They will be even better this year.

Im not sure what you are saying with this statement. It sounds like you are saying Tabor gets the nod because the other teams have self proclaimed stars and poor chemistry.

If your not saying this then why would they get the nod for something the other teams have as well?

 

Didnt mean to offend or accuse. I know both teams and players pretty well. I even coached a few of them. In my opinion, ND lost a lot of run production from last years team. They still have some but lost at least 3 of their more consistent hitters. I just happen to be a fan of Batts, Wrege and Vogler at Tabor. Simple as that. They are very good players who show a lot of humility, with great families. That doesn't mean there are not those kinds of players at all schools. At West Forsyth, Tyler Coyle, Dustin Myers, David Todd and Austin Rhodes are the same kinds of people. They are all kids I want my son around. I was fortunate to see a bunch of absolutely great players at the Showcase in Hickory this weekend. All baseball players in this area don't have the media outlet some players have. I seriously doubt any of the players I mentioned have parents who have posted on this board. Some probably don't even know it exists. It just isn't that important to them.

Please don't read something in to what I said. I have no problems with any of the schools mentioned or their players. I imagine even Davie has some nice kids!! hahaha I just don't know them. We all have favorites and these are mine. Pretty simple! This is why I dont always like writing here because things can be misread. Simmer down now..

And like I said, don't count out West.. Things are a changin in Forsyth County. Reagan looks to be good and Parkland will surprise a few too.

Need I say the dreaded word? Oh well, here you go.. YANKEES!! Stars and backups.. money, coaching, everything.. even tickets to watch the World Series!! hahahaha


Never mind.. I'll be quiet on this one.. It's just so much fun to be alive when everyone thinks you're gonna die!! hahahaha

i think he meant that he just likes them as he mentioned in his second post. he KNOWS those kids and likes the way they play. oh and by the way. north did win the cpc tournament championship... but west won the regular season. just thought i would clear that up.
