CPC predictions

Old Angels Coach, are you really a coach or a Kid? Your post about Mt Tabor struck me as offensive on first reading. If you say your comments had not implied meaning, I accept that.

But just to be clear: White is committed to Wake Forest, Watson to Catawba, & Michael to UNC. That's not self-proclaimed.

My opinion on the conference: I think (as usual) it will full of surprises & upsets. I'm rooting for the Black Knights, but (as you said) they lost Kassouf (Belmont Abbey), Yount (Barton), & a couple other important role players. They've got some holes to fill.

Defensively: ND will be as good as anyone up the middle in the 1-2-4-6-8.

Pitching: Team strength, including a deeper than usual bullpen.

Offensively: Lost alot of power & middle of the order.

 

Trust me I am not a kid. Rather old actually. I'll introduce myself some day. I know you well. I know you are a strong supporter of ND and that is absolutely wonderful. I know Zach, Clay and Levi and as far as I know they are good people and certainly good players who have signed at great schools (except for maybe Levi's choice!) hahaha I AM KIDDING!!!!! Well, maybe not.

We all have different opinions about what makes a great team. Some would take the A+ players like the Yankees for instance and love it. They don't always win. Who knows why?? I prefer the A- and B+ players. In my experience with coaching and having a child play college ball for 4 years (who married a player who played 4 years in college and 2 years of pro ball) the elite, whoever they are, have a more difficult time than those who are just hard working good players. If this were not true, the Yankees would be untouchable.

Your comments:
They lost Kassouf (Belmont Abbey), Yount (Barton), & a couple other important role players. Those two are a pretty good pair of hitters.

If I am not mistaken, you lost your 1st baseman, 3rd baseman and CF.. Those are certainly key positions and the same guys contributing a lot of the run production.

Not sure why you are offended?? Do you REALLY know these kids or do you sit on the hill and watch them play baseball? Why would you call out those names?? I personally know them and 2 played for me at one time or the other a few years back. As far as I know, they have no problem with me nor I them.

Do you hate the players I mentioned? Think anything negative about them? Do you even know them? That was my point exactly! I know them and their families. Love em all.

Being who you are, I am a little embarrassed for you trying to stir up trouble on here when there is none. I like some of the other players.. It is just that simple. Why look for problems.. Geesh.. Just chill and support your team.. Quit taking yourself so serious and have a little fun. Remember, we are old and trying to get into Heaven! Be nice!

Why dont we print off this conversation and take a look back at it next June? I think there are probably a lot of other teams out there who are laughing at us discussing ND and Forsyth County schools.

YES.....he really does know those players and he spends alot of time around the field with thoseplayers. And he is also a very knowledgeable person of the game.

And i would take some offense to that as well, ND has relied on team chemistry the past few years since they just haven't been loaded down with talent. Now dont get me wrong they have theyre fair share of great athletes, especially this years team. They play great as a team and they have for quite a while now, and thats because of coaching. There is no "I" players on this team, I can guarantee that. I just don't quite understand your post because it seemed to me you were insinuating that ND lacked team chemistry and that they had selfish players that were all about themselves. No, they're about winning, whether its the #9 hitter sacrificing or the #3 hitter on his way to carolina.

OK. My hat is tipping too.. Nowhere in my original post did I mention ND.. It seems to me there were about 4-6 teams mentioned. The ND crowd assumed I was talking about them. I was actually defending West Forsyth, who was picked to finish 4th and has some good kids coming back. All these offended people.. Baseball7690, I know you too.. So let's don't go there. hahaha

Evidently there is a problem down there we didn't know about. Clue us in.. I am outta here before Braves bans me!! These guys won't get any sleep tonight!!

Braves?? I surrender.. I'll behave! Oh, the written word is so hard to understand.. Chemistry is such a bad word maybe. Maybe I should have said FRIENDSHIP gets the nod.. The boys at MT have played together for a VERY long time. They are buddies.

As I said earlier, print this and pull it out next spring. Mount Tabor is my pick for CPC Champion! I am old and wise and know these things.. Sweet Dreams!

 

All you have to do is read it. NOT into it. I would have to say that those all schools have their own problems that every team has. I think that the coaches are more worry about who they have to fill those empty positions. We all know that the learning curve is just that. Learning.
