    The Hurricanes

North and South teams are very good. They have some outstanding young players and they play hard. Coach Petty is doing a great job with this group putting it all together.

With only one '08 returning this coming season, the '09's will carry the load for the Chargers. This will be the year for some of these guys to show they can play beyond high school.

Kyle Hackney- mid inf, RHP good mechanics with good baseball IQ

Jon Polak- OF,RHP power hitter from the left side, hard worker

Clay Martin- plays any position! He's the most "under the radar" guy on the team. He has been a starter since his freshman year. Swings from the left side. The multiple positions (LF, CF, 2nd, SS, RHP and C) he played last year show his baseball versatility. He missed the Impact showcase this fall due to soccer playoffs...ugh! He did play this summer with one of the Hurricane teams.

Cameron Goodwin- OF ran a 6.9 60 at the Impact underclassman, good fielder with a acurate arm, a threat to run on the basepaths

A couple of others may step up this season and show well. This will be a fun team to watch for the next couple of years.

C.A Clayton (jr.) SS at Providence High School. From what I have seen, quickest hands this side of the Mississippi R.!!

    weigh-in on Noteboom sss/09

Just wanted to throw out there that I to have seen Bryant Noteboom from smithfield-selma play many times and he is the real deal. Not only does he have the type of power you look for from a corner guy but he will save you 2 or 3 times a game with his digs at firstbase. Also stays consistantly around 2 on his pop times behind the plate. This kid is still growing and getting stronger and is very projectable.( Plays s/case w/Hurricanes)
Of note,he has a couple of 2010 teammates,Tate Parrish(lhp, mid to upper80s/Dirtbags) and Dylan Brown (lh hitter w/sub 7 sixty speed m/i and of/Hurricanes).They should have a good team at sss this spring so I would"nt be surprised if you don"T here these names come up alot in season.
