What are some of the contact rules for the transition from JUCO to a 4 year school?
Can a JUCO player have a try-out for a D-1 school? If so, are there dead periods?
My son has an offer from a D-2 school and it is a good one. He also wants to just check his options with a couple of D-1 schools. What is his best approach to this? He wasn't heavily recruited out of high school but signed early with his JUCO so we didn't have much contact with many other schools. I think he should probably go to the D-2 team but he wants to make sure. The D-2 coach encouraged him to look around to make sure it is the right place for him.

You are only allowed to workout (tryout) on DII and DIII campuses.

    Thanks

Thanks. That's what I thought but someone told me last week that I should send my son to the schools he is looking at and they could give him a try-out because he is not in High School and is on JUCO team. That didn't sound right to me but I thought I would check before he contacts a school and asks any extra dumb questions. He's 19 so he asks enough of those already.

    Transfer

Are you aloud to transfer to a D1 school after your freshman year on a JUCO team and not have to sit a year out
