Just wanted to add that Josh Russell received the All - Unifour Offensive Player of The Year, while making the All - Peidmont Team.... (Also, Austin Johnson finished his marvlous career finishing with 192 tackels (WOW) winning the All - Unifour Defensive Player of The Year).... If your interested the articles were in the Hickory Daily Record (Great article!) Gradulations to both of these young men and good luck in the future! Can't wait to see you on the next level!

    Career Starts> 26
    Record> 14 - 12 (including playoffs)
    Passing Yds> 4800
    Passing TD's> 39
    Rushing Yds> 730
    Rushing TD's> 10
    ToT Yds> 5500
    ToT TD's > 49
    ToT Att's> 630
    ToT Comp> 371
    Comp %> 60%
    INT's> 10
(Stats only for 2yrs of V)

.... Out of 45 games in this kid's career I seen him play in 42 out of them, (2yrs on JV / 2 yrs on V) at AC,.... What impressed me about the kid the most was his (Heart, Determnation, Hustle, and Will to Win) attributes that are either in you or not in you. That is what it takes to excel and make it (if he wants to go to the next level) and (at life) and this kid has those intangables....(I'm sure those of you that seen him play would agree...) Great Career and The Very Best To This Kid In The Future.......one of the best I have ever seen strap on the shoulder pads at the QB position.... Good Luck!....

....Thought this kind of accomplishment should be posted....

    P.S. Feel free to comment.........

I say again. The O-was better than given credit for. Last years O-line was VERY good. DANG with a great QB,Wideouts and descents line, you would have thought we would have won more games. Just dont add up does it.

Play calling was questionable at times, but over all this team didnt execute on turnovers and was unable to stop the run. But on JR's behalf, this kid had an outstanding career and is a rare breed. You do have to give his recievers some credit, but if you watched this year, you would conclude if they could have caught just half the balls they dropped; JR's Completion rate would jump 15% and would have 8-10 more TD's.

Okay.... I agree with you.....,but seeing that you have only one post leads me to believe that you resgistered just to put that one NEGATIVE comment on this thread when this thread is for Josh (that's sad).....I did not create this thread to start a verbal argument with anyone or to have people argue on it.....Also, the person (dontgeturfeelinshurt)that talked negatively about the WRers not catching all the balls (don't say things like that on this thread or this board as far as that goes - these guys are kids) (drop balls are going to happen look at LSU)....I did create this thread just to simply show the kids accomplishments at the QB position which have never been seen at that school (That is the point at hand on this thread).....Now with all that said, this thread is just to shed some light on someone's career in a POSITIVE manner not NEGATIVELY....Lastly, the WRers did play very well this year and that was one of the things that I thought after the first couple games.....Actually, it was a very solid year for the big 4 (Mayes, Adams, Kori & Webb)....(Russell could have not done without these guys)...Mayes probably had one of the best years ever by a WR at that school, great job, Adams could score at any given time, and Kori has great hands and knew how to get open (sorely missed, get better kid) Webb most improved player (no ?) awesome job.....I hope everyone takes this as a positive and not a negative..........

Sorry if my post sounded negative, wasnt meant to. But I agree the recievers did a great job considering their accomplishments. But back to JR......This kid is an outstanding athlete who works hard at everything he does. IDK if he will play at the next level, or if anyone is considering him as a prospect, but he deff. deserves the chance to play at the next level. He also is an outstanding baseball player. It will be interesting to see how is college career ends up. Baseball or Football
