What is everyone's thoughts on this big game. Crest is playing very well right now and it seems Mount Tabor is as well. Both teams look to have a good offense that likes to run the football. This one might come down to special teams and I am picking the winner of this game to represent the West in the championship. Crest has 2 good running backs and a shrine bowl linebacker #30. MT has a shrine bowl safety/running back #11 and 2 other good running backs.
I am picking MT to win 28-21 in a very good game.

I have followed Mt Tabor in the Winston Salem paper this year. I know they have played through some injury problems but seem to be hitting their stride with some players returning.

This Should be a pretty good game.
I think Mt.Tabor wins, but do not be stunned if Crest wins it either

I don't think that anyone would be at all shocked if Crest won but I agree, Mt Tabor is the pick.

Crest is playing the best ball they have played all year. The FR and SOPH that had to be counted on this year have really stepped up and started to mature. Crest has two backs over a thousand yards, but Halbert is now approaching a thousands yrds himself through the air. Some changes have been made to the offensive line and that has paid off as well. I think the Chargers have played a tougher schedule and I think that is huge in the playoffs. This will be a great game.

    As far as schedules
    Mount Tabor
    8-4 Southern Durham
    3-8 Regan
    6-6 Atkins
    6-6 Parkland
    5-7 East Forsyth
    3-7 NW Guilford
    3-8 RJ Reynolds
    6-5 Davie County
    1-10 North Forsyth
    7-5 North Davidson
    7-5 West Forsyth
    4-8 HP Central

    Crest
    7-5 Burns
    1-9 Freedom
    11-1 Shelby
    5-7 Kings Mountain
    7-5 Ashbrook
    4-7 Forestview
    9-2 Country Day
    10-2 North Gaston
    4-7 Hunter Huss
    0-11 East Gaston
    11-1 South Point
    5-7 East Forsyth

Counting their scrims. Crest has seen six teams on the field that has won at least 10 games...TC Roberson, Gaffney, Hickory, Shelby, North Gaston, South Point. Coach Kirby believes that tough games make you better esp. come playoff time.

    GO CHARGERS!!!!!

One day until the big show down. Crest has been playing very well and I heard they will bring alot of fans. It seems Crest is peaking at the right time and Mount Tabor has gotten back healthy. How good is Crest's QB and their receivers? I heard they have had some big plays from their wideouts and they also have 2 very good running backs. Can Mount Tabor contain their running game and not give up too many big plays? Also, can Crest stop Tabor's running game? Everyone has said that Mount Tabor cannot beat you throwing the ball with their QB. Also, how many rushing yards is Crest giving up a game? I heard their defense is really big and fast and is only giving up around 14 points per game. Mount Tabor is averaging about 30 points and 300 rushing. Should be a great test for both teams. I believe the winner of this game will represent the West in the championship. Even though there are some very good teams left in Watagua, Swett, Ashbrook, and maybe Ardrey Kell (Don't know much about them).
See everyone at the game tomorrow. I heard Crest is bringing charter buses and alot of noise with them.

The run defense is the strength of the D. Held Shelby under 100 yrds rushing and held South Point to it's lowest total of the year. Crest is bringing a huge crowd, and the Crest road crowd is fun...Right Wossa? Dwayne Maddox(Shrine Bowl LB'er) is the name on the defense, but keep an eye on DE Nelson Bullard, Soph LB'er Jacob Tisdale(Could be the next big time LB'er at Crest), Safety Tim Cobb to name a few.

The Crest radio crew is bringing a motor home to sit on top of to do the game due to limited space in the Tabor press box.

    Looking forward to it.

you got that right smash - never seen a bigger crowd make the road trip. Kannapolis was close.

And just like in Jamestown I think you Charger fans will be celebrating tomorrow night. The fact Mt Tabor lost at homecoming to NW Guilford and in OT to Parkland makes them a little suspect to me.

Of course maybe I shouldn't say that since those two teams gave Ragsdale two of their three losses. :ack2:

good luck tomorrow night. dress warm

Can't wait to see this game, and I'll be there! This will definitely be a great game.

BTW, smashmouth5, I'll definitely be listening to you guys on the teamline network on my cell phone :). Thanks for the work you guys do to bring the game to us, even when we can't be there!
