    ahhhh...Joey Savago, part of the East Meck wrecking crew. What a great kid!

    I saw your field the other day, dragbunt...looking good! I saw your HC, also...looking good, too. I saw your early season schedule....looking tough! Every game you guys will see some of the top pitchers in the state.:bike:

    Grimsley Freshmen

    Grimsley has three stand-out freshmen. All three have a chance to play varsity. George Carter, Austin Leonard and Sawyer Highfill. Carter is a big lefty pitcher/first-baseman, Leonard is a big right-handed hitter and Highfill is an original catcher but should see plenty of time in the outfield until Junior Catcher Gabe Dimock graduates.

    Sawman is a good player and a great kid. Alan, you're fortunate to have him. Great kid.

    Ragsdale has a kid named Zack Hodges that you guys will be hearing about.

    8th Grader at Meadowlark to watch

    Here is someone to watch. Jacob Campbell at Meadowlark Middle School. A big kid at just under 6'2" and 210 lbs. Worked all winter at TPG with Todd Jenkins and is now hitting low to mid 80's consistently. A good curveball and change-up, and has been working on his splitter. He will be tough to beat

    If he's working on a splitter in the 8th grade he won't be around to pitch by his senior year.

    Low to mid 80's in middle school?

    I hope your right. I hope your wrong about the splitter. I am more interested in seeing the hitters in middle school that are forcing him to need a splitter to get them out!

    Look at the post name...

    could the poster be the same person in the post. If it is please dont hurt yourself.. Good Pitchers in Middle School only need Location and a little speed.. Mid 80's will dominate.. Hope he is still around at 16 not a flash at 14. Take care of yourself there is plenty of time to learn old man pitches..

    Yeah...I kinda figured. I hope he takes your advice. Mid 80's can get you wins in HS and college
