Here's a list of the approved bats. Best thing to do is use the model number. The ASA doesn't differentiate between fast or slow pitch.

    Combat B1 98
    Combat B1FP1
    Combat B1SP2
    Combat B1SP2 Signature Series
    Combat C4FP1
    Combat C4SP1
    Combat SX3SP2 SX3 Censored
    Combat TSP1 Throttle
    Combat VIRFP1 Virus FP
    Combat VIRSP2 Combat Anti-Virus

The Virus isn't banned yet. I expect it will have the same fate!

Thank you, glad to be here. If Combat has other bats available that can be used in ASA play, I would imagine that they would furnish their teams with them. I would hope so anyway.

The Combat website seems to be saying that if you have an LV they will replace it with an ASA approved bat at no cost.At least they stand behind their product. They could take a too bad so sad attitude.

I talked w/a combat representative tonight. He called me, which I thought was exceptional customer service. I purchased the Lady Virus for my daughter in May of 07. We have had a problem w/the end cap coming out. Combat replaced the bat. Just rcv'd replacement in September. That bat did the same thing. Combat again is replacing her bat. The bat (Lady Virus) was out of stock. It seems that the Men Softballers were using it. They liked the distance they got out of the ball w/ this bat. Like anything else, one thing leads to another. A lot of talk and bam, the bat is re-examined, only this time it fails ASA standards.

My daughter liked the way the bat felt in the swing. The balance and ease in the swing. Now she is going to try the Combat Fastpitch bat. I think it is blue w/pink. Not on the banned list as of yet.

Sorry to go on and on. Just wanted to let people know how Combat is willing to go the extra mile w/customer service.

Also would love for the ASA to test some of the Lady Virus bats that have been used for the past six months, just to see if results would be the same.
