The above posters have done an excellent job describing the school and baseball program. Not much more I could add. My son is in his freshman year and loves the baseball program and is excited about the up coming spring season. The school and the mix of people takes a little getting used to but one good thing is that the team does seem like a real close unit.

    Looking forward to Feb 22nd!

    It can't come soon enough!

This will be a fun year. I'm looking forward to seeing how these guys develop. With such a large freshman class there are going to be some young guys that are going to have to step up right away. Lucky for them, the older guys have been so encouraging and supportive. I hope the "pups" can help make this a successful year for the older "dawgs" who have paid their dues and deserve some success.

There is a lot of talent here in the mountains and they don't recruit it. No kudos from me.

The best thing I can say about Coach Stewart is he is competing against some well funded and fully allotted Div-1 programs with a div-2 budget and scholarship limitations. I can personally tell you he works as hard as any coach in the area on his field, in practice, and in games. For UNC-A to not give him and his players what they deserve and need financially is a tragedy and just goes to show how hard they are working to make up the difference.

also, He he and his high school owned me. Thank God I got to play one summer season with him so I could appreciate what kind of a player he was.
