NW4A Week 4 thru 7 Scores

Well whoever doesn't like him has a selfish attitude because you can't get much better of a coach than Klay Anderson. Say what you want but I've never heard of anyone who doesn't like him. I knew some parents still wouldn't be satisfied with the coaching. You parents are wanting Pat Summit to come to Watauga to coach the girls team because each parent thinks their daughter is the best player on the floor. Parents like you start telling your kids that the coaching is ridiculous and they start thinking that, then start telling their teamates that and it brings down the whole team. Yall spend more time crying about the coach than cheering on the team so maybe part of the blame is on you. They might be 0-5 but they are giving teams games. And remember, Anderson isn't missing the shots and turning the ball over. He's got them organized and ready to play each game. And he's busting his ass trying to get them to start playing harder. It's kind of sad when 40-50 year old people act as immature as some of you parents do. And if you could do me a favor and change your name to WHSHOOPSCRITIC instead of fan because your not much of a fan.

 

I also have been quiet so far this season, but here is my two cents.

First off, if you don't think the team is better this year, you are nutso. They play defense. You heard me, the "D" word. Show me a time in the last few years that they actually played help defense. I have seen almost every game over the last 14 years, and this team has gotten back to basics. I love that, but I am old school when it comes to defense.

I think this group of young ladies play hard every night. I don't think that was ever in question, no matter who their coach was. They have a lot of pride and refuse to give up. I do however think they are more aware of what they should be doing (and I don't mean to knock anyone). Sometimes, communication is a gift. I wish I had it.

Why wouldn't winning games the second time through be acceptable? When was the last time they did that? Man, it has been awhile... I bet everyone involved wouldn't just go in and say, "Oh shucks! Let's just have fun the rest of the year. Who cares if we win." How would that go over Hoops? Not too good I imagine.

I support the Lady Pioneer players, coaches, and fans. My advice is: Fill your role and play it to the best of your ability. By that I mean that each group should do their best for each other.

Squeaky wheel.....talk about not wanting to get started... wonder why the wheel started squeaking.....oh yeah, I remember.. people that thought they knew better butting in where they didn't belong.....

Sorry for venting a little. This wasn't the way I wanted to have my first post of the season.

 

WHS is giving up over 56 points per game this season and is giving up over 67 points per game in conference play. I don't call that good team defense!

And from the discussion after the JV game, the JV coaching staff must not care if they win or lose their games!

And I never said that winning the 2nd time through conference would not be acceptable. Just think we must change things for that to happen.

And I am just venting a little.

First off, maybe the talent pool is a little better than what WHS has had in th past? Also, people blamed the last 3 coaches for the missed shots and turnovers. Why can't we blame Anderson? Shouldn't we be working on these things in practice? Perfect Practice makes Perfection. And from what I have beentold practice is far from perfect. Also, from the looks of the conference games, he does not have them organized and ready to play. Tuesday was a great example. Also, it seems like every conference team's star player has a career night when they play us. Is that prepared?

 

All right guys, enough is enough. Having gone through the same struggles that Coach Anderson is going through now, people posting negative things on the board and fussing back and forth does no good. It only hurts the players. Players read these comments and start doubting themselves and their coach. The girls of this team deserve our support and respect. They have worked their butts off and devoted a lot of time and energy into basketball over the past years. They deserve our support and respect even if you don't like the coaches. Good luck ladies and remember I will always be pulling for you!

Please stop, WHSHOOPSFAN! You are so incorrect on many points and you are certainly not helping the situation any more than you did last year when you complained. Coach Anderson is doing a great job in practice, the girls like him, and it will take time to develop his program.

 

THANK YOU! I knew their would be someone to back me up on this. You are exactly right hchoops. Their practices are great. WHSHOOPSFAN, you might be the most ridiculous poster I have ever come across on this board in my life. I am very willing to drop this but I'm not just going to sit here and let you talk bad about him. You might want to go do some research before you start voicing your dumb opinion on here. I might just to prove a point and go take a survey of the girls team and ask them how they like their coach and I guarantee everyone says they love their coach, except for maybe your daughter because she's hearing what you say about him all the time. Your plan of voicing your opinion really blew up in your face too.

ok so am a player for eb & I can guarantee you that Coach Murray would never say that WHS has better players & athletes then our team. I find it kind of funny you say that because I can't remember the last time WHS has beaten EB. After that many wins over WHS I don't believe you can say it's just because of the coaching that has won us those games.
