    First Flight remains undefeated

From the Elizabeth City Daily Advance

Northeastern's Francie Jenkins guards First Flight's Carolyn O'Neill during the Lady Nighthawks’ 54-40 win Tuesday at Northeastern High School

The girls' game was tight until Northeastern turnovers caught up with it. With the score tied 22-all in the second quarter, Northeastern committed turnovers on three straight possessions which led to six Lady Nighthawk points. That fueled an 11-0 run that bridged halftime, giving fifth-ranked First Flight (17-0, 6-0) a 33-22 lead early in the third period.
Northeastern (7-10, 2-4) twice closed to within nine points, but could not get any closer.
Gina Jordan scored 16 to lead the Lady Eagles. Shericka Lee came off the bench to score 12.
First Flight got 16 points each from Carolyn O'Neill and Alisa Perry. Kristina Argiroff added 12 points, six rebounds, seven assists and nine steals. The Lady Nighthawks had 19 assists on 19 baskets in the game.

    Thanks,

That one is no doubt correct. Croatan is kicking butt. Wonder why they are not ranked higher. Bet it's because they are east of rolly.

    Croatan Losses

Croatan varsity had two tournaments that had conflicts with other games and they let their JV play in the first round of the tournament and the varsity finished the latter rounds. The losses came from the JV team playing varsity level ball. Varsity is undefeated and playing some awesome basketball right now.
