Opinions on how to fix situation ??? I think we need to shorten the seasons so that basketball want over-lap softball, and then you want have some many absentees from either sport. We could start softball later if need be and shorten the number of times you play in your conference. It seems to be an issue every year when one season goes into the other season that coaches get upset, and kids feel stressed about being one place or the other to satisfy everybody. JMHO !@!!

    Softball season should be shortened

Softball Highschool season should be shortened by aleast one week. The state finals should be played and over by the last weekend in May.The finals keep running into graduation and national qualifiers in the first weekend in June.I don't think cutting it one week would hurt but it sure makes it hard the girls having to decide do I go to graduation or do I go play softball. Am I loyal to highschool or travel ball.I know the softball parents love softball but they also want to see their daughter cross the stage and recieve their diplomas. I know for a fact this happened to 9 young ladies 2 yrs ago.I wish someone would fix this problem soon because I know it is already going to be a problem this year as well.HELP

    Easy question

No contest in my book. You only graduate once and you play ball every weekend and if you're going into the summer after your senior year without any idea where you're going the following fall you have severly hurt your chances of playing anywhere period not to mention even going to school. If you do have an idea ,the college is going to understand if you miss a couple of ball games for graduation.

    You missed it

It was the state championship game or graduation for 9 ladies. That is why I said if the state games where over by the last weekend of May this would never be a problem again.1 week would solve all the problems. It wasn't fair for the ladies to have to make that decision.
