    I understand that Wilson Hunt will replace Southwest Edgecombe in the NEW 6 conference.

    They had a nice setup for a very good 3A conference in the mountains, 8 teams, and they split it up. They would have had a very good 2A conference as well as a 1A conference, All to accommodate a couple of 4A teams. If you want to talk about travel all you have to do is look at the non-conference schedules that the teams set up themselves. No travel concerns there. When it comes to the mountains, it is whatever Buncombe County wants and the rest just fall in line.
