    True, its not a good picture right now taking on the likes of Reynolds, Roberson, and Asheville. Even North Buncombe is doing exceptionally well. Im just more inclined as to who the new coach will be and what they'll do to get the program out of the cellar.

    Don't Underestimate the little guys

    What goes around comes around...I would not be too quick to make predictions regarding a new school, such as Patton, based on first year records...this school has some good coaches, and will have a strong athletic program in a few years...then we will see what the score between Shelby and Patton will be....Draughn is also going be a strong athletic school, if you do not believe me, talk to me in four years....

    Shelby has had only 1 losing season in 50 years. Since 1968 they have won 11 state championships and have won 81% of there games. I just do not see Patton or Draughn being able to compete with them in the next 4 years. Maybe Chase, but not Shelby.

    That is why they play the game

    That is why you can never underestimate teams, Shelby has had one losing season, well Patton never has had a losing season in Varsity football. They probably will next year, but you can never know until it happens.....East Burke was not predicted to reach the third round of the playoffs this year...My Senior season at AC Reynolds, we had a perfect record, and look at the teams since the early 70's.....oh yeah, the perfect season was when we went 0-10....Shelby has a great tradition, but they are not and never will be unbeatable.....that is why they play the game....
