maybe your right since that is their first outright title ever.i have never went into the crowd after we have won a big game.i was probaly jumping up and down.what im reffering is the fact their coach was in on it too.as for the watuaga incident all coach rogers did was take up for a player and after he got knocked down and nothing was called.

If fhspatriot is speaking for the Freedom nation, sounds maybe like the Cavs wanted it (the championship) a little more tonight than the Pats and it meant a little more to them than to FHS.

I agree with the Warden...let 'em have their moment, they earned it. I listened to the game on Kicks 103.3 and some on 92.1 and both broadcasts talked about how intense the game was, but how well behaved and classy BOTH teams and fans were.

i gave east burke credit for their win.as for wanting it more.i dont think it is true.I think both wanted the same and it ment alot to our kids.just east burke caught a few breaks at the end and we didnt and no im not blaming the refs by saying that.

The East Burke boys have played together since they were 10 years old and have worked extremely hard to get where they are today. At least one player for Freedom actually played YBOA ball with them. You also have a coach that in his first season won the NW4A Conference. That win was an emotional moment for all of them. Freedom may have had to wait for a few minutes to shake hands but afterward there were more hugs from the players than handshakes. I think these players respect each other and so do the coaches. Fans are Fans. I remember when NC State won the National Championship what did Jimmy V do? I don't think anybody could say he didn't have class. As for Coach Hancock, this is the first time all year he's showed hardly any emotion. He deserved his moment and I think Casey would agree. Freedom boys have an excellent team. They played hard and gave it all they had. It was a great game. However, don't discredit the EB Boys they are the best group of athletes in our schools history. They have accomplished more than any other group of athletes. It was a great night to be at East Burke. If you weren't there you missed two great games.:FOFRBanana0518HL:

Yeah i guess Freedom did'nt want to win the conference championship thats why they lost, or i guess they gave up at half time and thats why they forced the game into OT. Maybe your right, but saying it meant more to EB than FHS is just asinine.

The way this season has played out I think that on any given night Freedom, East Burke, McDowell and Alexander Central could win the Conference Tournament. I think the team that plays the best defense consistently will win out. I plan on watching alot of games this week.

Aren't you the kid that went to EB, couldn't play football for them, so you ended up being the waterboy/stat boy at Freedom?
