Just a little test to see if anyone knows the teams in the MSEC. Stretchy and SouthernNo1 asked for some information from down east so let's see who knows the teams and what the predictions are for this year. (and no cheating) Coach 27 isn't allowed to help anyone.

Richmond County, Scotland County. Purnell Swett? Some Fayetteville schools, and Hoke County?

    Can I help you?

I know the reason for this disclaimer....I was traveling this week in California and read an article in the local paper and could not believe my eyes. Coach 27 had predicted the order of finish for the teams in the San Diego Valley High School 6A Conference. The article went on to say that Coach 27 was 100% correct with last years predictions. Not sure if he cheats but he obviously knows his stuff.

PS: my prediction is the team that finishes first will be my favorite team.

Well, Braves. Way to go out on a limb. That would pretty much be the standings EVERY year in that conference, with RC and SC occasionally changing spots.

Some outstanding players have come out of this conference over the years. One of my favorites is Pincrests Dallas Poulk.

I like Scotland to win this conference. Coach Britt is an outstanding coach and will have those boys ready to play. By the way his son is a freshman this year and watch out because the boy is going to be a stud. Richmond will challenge and be a tough out. Some will have them picked to win it. Pinecrest will be in the hunt as well.

Hoke County has some nice young players in their program. They could surprise some folks along the way. Jack Britt , 71st , Westover and Douglas Byrd will be in the second tier imo.

    #1 Scotland
    #2 Richmond
    #3 Pinecrest
    #4 Hoke County

This is my top four. I will tell you this , this conference has suited up some of the best baseball players this state has produced. They have some outstanding athletes and they get after it bigtime. These four teams in the upper tier will be a tough out come playoff time. And someone could emerge from that bottom tier as well.

Coach Britt's son is in eighth grade this year. He will be a freshman at SHS for the 09 season. Scots looked pretty good today in their scrimmage against Myers Park. Haven't seen any other teams so I can't make any predictions but SHS, Richmond, and Pinecrest always seem to be the top three.
