Alexander Central VS Central Cabarrus

Megan Laxton -ACHS Junior pitcher, pitched a great game and then led off the last inning with a two strike homerun off of North Carolina State bound Morgan Peeler.The timely homer knotted the score at 1. I heard that it was one of the longest balls she has ever hit. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. ACHS had a runner on base when the time limit expired.

Sounds like a great game Morgan Peeler NC State Bound keep your head high because even a College pitcher will get a few home runs hit off of them in their life time. If just makes you wiser and smarter as you mature and it teaches you how to bow your back and fight all the way in which it sounds like you did. I know it had to be hard for you to pitch against someone you respected very much but in the game of softball we have to set aside our feelings and play the game like we know how regardless of any distractions that you may in counter. Great game to both team 1-1 looks like both sides won.

 

Mo is a special talent for sure

F-Pitch. You are right on. I'm guessing she doesn't get too many 250' bombs hit off her.Probably sends most big hitters back to the dugout. I had heard so much about her and finally got to see her throw. She can absolutely bring it. It will be fun to watch her in college.

One other player that was especially impressive was the CF from N.Davidson. She hit a slap through the infield, and was on first in less than 2.5 seconds.(had a stopwatch on her) The young lady can fly.

 

Central

Aside from 1 mistake Centrals pitching staff fared well today. Gave up 1 run in 5 games against some top teams in 2a, 3a, & 4a in state. Freshman Morgan Hopper was definiately on her game. The Vikings pitching is in good shape for next 4 yrs. Liked what I saw with team, & with a little spit & polish they will be holding their own. 4-0-1 for the day. Not bad girls.

 

Congratulations Megan you must have pitched a heck of a game also. Good luck on the season.
