TJ, you are correct about East Rowan that year. I can't remember who that lost to, but it was 1-0. That was the year Safrit was suspended before the year started and Guy Wirt coached the team. The Legion team won the state, losing only once until the SE regional where they were defeated in an extra inning game, I believe.

Thanks for the link travis,,,,, and btw that mighty East team who steamrolled everyone during the regular season was beaten 1-0 by Parkwood. Nobody saw that coming.

How many players from East Rowan were on Rowan's Legion team that destroyed Mooresville twice this summer 19-4 and 14-4? Were there a lot of Mooresville players on the Moors team?

Wasn't trying to insult anyone......I was just wondering. I think the E. Rowan v. Mooresville game is this Friday. I'm sure Shive will pitch for E. Rowan and would think Meadows would go for Mooresville. I think East Rowan's basketball players will be back for that game as well.....namely Trey Holmes.
