Does anyone have this for a palm. Wondering how you like it. Can't really afford the $60 (gave one son $550 today for oral surgery and the other son $80 for cleats)but I really want to be able to keep score and have the stats done for me. Then I could send to those who are keeping up websites or to the newpaper.
I downloaded the trial version and it seems awesome. However, it only lets you score 4 innings. I may need more once conference starts.:angelsad2:

I have been running Turbostats/Scorekeeper for the last 5 years for both my son's baseball team and my daughter's softball team. I still score the game with pencil and paper, and then enter it into the palm when I get home. Then I just sync it to the computer and the stats are done. You can select which stats you want displayed, and pitching, fielding, and batting stats are available. You can display stats for individual players, or select what type of game you want the stats from (conference, tournament, etc.) It will also print a box score, play by play, and score sheets for each game. It has been well worth the investment.

I use TurboStats baseball for caldwellbaseball.com. I love it. Although I used the basketball version last year at South and hated it.

As far as the Palm goes, I hate putting lineups into it. So when scoring I do the Pencil/Paper thing too... then transfer it into the desktop version when I get home.

    Turbostats vs. Scorepad

I used turbostats for several years then switched to scorepad. Both excellent programs check out scorepad at www.scorepad.com

    Just another option

I have never used TurboStats because I started 5-6 years ago with Digital Scout. I have used it continuously since then. It does make everything much easier and allows a lot of flexibility in printing or looking at all kinds of stats that I frankly don't have time to figure from a regular scorebook. When I started with Digital Scout it was cheaper than TurboStats but I have not even looked at the cost of TS lately. Tech support from DS is also very good in my experience. I too use the Palm Pilot for scoring and then transfer everything to my laptop and then email the stats to the coaches and newspaper. I do also keep a scorebook during the actual game just because I have OCD and am afraid the Palm will malfunction or some other catastrophe. I also used Digital Scout to score HS basketball which is significantly more difficult than the baseball. It does take a few games to get used to the little idiosyncracies of the programs.
