    1) What is your earliest memory of playing baseball - Playing at Oak
Grove when I was 5 and I was sick on my very first day of practice. I
begged my parents to take me anyway. I would hit the ball, run and then
go throw up behind the dug out and hit again...loved it!

    2) How did you get started in competitive tournament ball - I played
along with my buddy Jeff May on the AAU team Durham Diamonds when I was
    10 years old.

    3) What do you do to prepare for a game - Besides the routine
stretching, I have always called my Grandma Mary Hill and she does this
thing where she just says "Dit, Dit, Dit" and that is my good luck, I
still call her even today in high school. When she is at the games, she
taps my hand and says it too.

    4) Who has been your role model - I have two strong role models in my
life. My Dad, Pratt Maynard. He had a lot of tough times growing up,
so different from my childhood, and he has become a great man and Dad.
My grandad Worth Hill Sr. because he has always been a stong force in my
life and I know he loves me to death. My Mom calls him my own personal
    ATM whenever I am around.

    5) What was it like playing on your showcase teams - alot of exposure
and I get to meet guys I would normally never get to meet ot play with.
I love Andy Partin to death!!

    6) What game of yours is your most memorable - When the Durham Diamonds
were playing for the AAU State Championships in Charlotte and we
    won...it was awesome.

    7) What are your ambitions - succeed in life and make my family proud.

    8) What is your favorite color and why - Red - for NC State...what
    else!!!

    9) Are you dating - I am a pimp!

    10) Does your uniform number have a special meaning - Not
particularly...but I have worn 21 since high school.

    11) What are your parents names and sisters/brothers - Dad - Lonnie
Pratt Maynard (goes by Pratt) and Mom - Angie Maynard. That is why you
will hear them call me Pratt Lee (my first and middle names)

Stretchy knows: Pratt pitched at ECAP for the Stretchlon Stars when he was 13 yrs old. He was afraid to ride his bike the first day the training wheels were taken off. His favorite food is tuna fish. Pratt learned how to hit when he was still in diapers swinging one of those oversized plastic red bats. He and Jeff May were destined to be buddies as they were born in the same hospital one day apart.

    Pratt Lee

is a coaches dream. There is no one you would rather have in your dugout or on your team. He loves the game of baseball and he is a true team player. He is a gritty as they come he is a fierce competitor. I started coaching Pratt when he was 7 years old and have every since. I love him like a son because to me he might as well be my son. You will not find a finer young man and a kid that works any harder than Pratt. He is extremely talented but you would never know it talking to him. He is always striving to get better every day. If you get the chance to meet him take advantage of it. You wont regret it. Everytime I think about him graduating I get a little emotional about it. As long as I am coaching at SG no one will ever wear #21 again. That number belongs to Pratt Lee and no one else.

I want to brag a little on this guy

Pratt was named All State as a freshman. He hit in the top of our order as a freshman and hit close to .400 with 4 hrs. He was our most productive pitcher as well on a team ranked #1 in the state going into the state playoffs. This was a team that was 14-0 in conference play and won over 20 games. He was also named all conference as a freshman.

As a Soph Pratt was again named All Conference and All State. Pratt again hit close to .400 and hit 9 bombs. He was again a force not only in the field and at the plate he was bigtime on the hill for us.

As a Jr Pratt was named All Conference and hit right around .400 again. He hit 8 hr's and had a ton of rbi's. Pratt was 9-1 on the hill last year. Pratt has 21 career hr's playing in a big ball park and he is pitched so tough.

I love to watch this guy take bp. Yesterday at Northern Nash he hit the first five pitches out - way out. He has scary power from the leftside. After he takes bp at our field he takes the golf cart down the road to get the balls out of the yards of the houses across the street. "Im not joking about that." He hits like a man.

Great young man that you can tell just loves to play the game. His swing is power unleashed, not for the faint of heart!

I got an appreciation of him at Coastal Carolina this summer when he threw 4 innings of nothing but fastballs, daring anyone who stepped in the box to hit it. NOONE DID!

Loved watching his entire family pile into stadiums in their bright red, they love baseball and you can rest assured they love Pratt. Never a doubt who they were pulling for.

It was a pleasure for our family to get to know this young man and his family. This young man is nothing short of a beast on the baseball field. We wish him all the success in his future at South Granville and NC State and beyond.

    EXCELLENT KID!!

Tough competitor, great kid from what I have observed. Nice powerful stroke and excellent pitcher. I know Kenny and Kevin, as well as Pratt's family are proud of him!!
