    Southwestern Randolph / East Davidson

    SWR 9
    ED 0

    WP - Brittany Marsh 1H, 14Ks

The Marshall was NASTY in spite of an increasingly tight strike zone as the game wore on.

Hitters - several with a couple of hits each for SWR. B. Gearren collected 3 hits and several RBIs in this one.

I would have loved to see this one

I would have never expected to see 4 runs in this game. Both pitchers are something to watch and will be among the most sought after pitchers in their respective graduating classes.

    SUNDEVILS!!!!

    upset?

was this considered an upset? Is HC considered the favorite in conference?
good hitters at HC to be shut out.

Most definitely considered an upset in these parts. Harnett Central has ruled the HS FP circuit for several years now and have been considered for some time now to be THE team to beat in the Cape Fear Valley 3A Conference. For Triton, this is huge, as this game marks a win after 5 straight losses to Central.

With Lauren Taylor no longer on the mound at Central this Conference has been wondering if the tides would soon be turning and this game could well indicate Central will not be the dominating power they have been in the past. Central still has a bevy of talent on that roster, including Williford and Nobles, and some great pitching. Triton's Faircloth is a force to reckon with on the mound. So only time will tell what will happen in this Conference.

    How did Mt. Pleasant score?

Was wondering how Mt. Pleasant scored their 2 runs, on only one hit? Were these runs unearned against Mo?

They were unearned runs, a hit batter, wild pitch, then an error on a pickoff attempt at second and the ball got past the outfield for a run, the second one came on a hit, then walk, and a fielding error in the infield to score the run.
