    Weddington needs to refocus

After a great start Weddington drops to 0-3 in conference play. tough first inning from which they did not recover. They settled in defensively, but could not get the bats going all at once.

Many of Weddington's outs were easy fly balls to the outfield.

Watkins and Collins continue to swing hot bats, but it was not enough. Watkins 1-3 (HR), Collins 2-3 with 2 doubles.

    Hey Mincimi and Braves

    Hey Guys
I do not know what you have scheduled, but Providence is playing at Olympic Monday at 4:30. Olympic's Corey Roberts will test his moxy against the Providence bats. Providence has AK later in the week so I don't think Coach Hignight will pitch Ritchie Schafer. Olympic has been hot and cold this year so far If their bats show up and Corey on the bump this should be a great game.

Yeah, I agree. I actually love going to the games at Olympic. You can get up close to the field. This should be a great game. I feel for Providence. They only see the best and in Corey Roberts, it's another pitcher that's "lights out".

If I don't go to Sawmills tomorrow, I will definitely be there. Good luck to Corey. I wish him the best!

Oh...and Chlt, ask Coach Rhodes if he could leave a couple of passes for me. I went to take pics and do a recap of the game.

Should be a good one. If Olympic can get some early runs, that may put some heat on the Panthers as they will not be excpeted to score a ton of runs vs. Corey. Providence is very good, but a little inexperience and are pressing a little. Early runs will not help that situation.

I am expecting AK will get Ritchie on Friday. They may throw Will Helms, but my guess would be that they would want to use him (Helms) in the conference game Tuesday. Askey threw well against Hopewell in relief earlier this year. I would look to for at least a few innings from him.

I am going to catch North and East tomorrow. First time to get a look at the Vikings.

Sounds like a DH for Braves. Olympic - 4:30 for the first 5 and then onto Pork Chop Hill.
