    Spotted wat. 3 runs in the top of 1st.T Bumgarner had a bad day and gave up 3 or 4 walks.T Bumgarner will be back, just a tough day. Thomas Ray came in and pitch 5 1/2 innings and gave up no runs.Thomas Ray also had 2 hits. Travis Cook had a 2 rbi double in the bottom of the 1st to get back in the game.South still has not hit the ball like they are capable but defense looks to be improving. Next up Freedom and McDowell on the road.

    yea i noticed mcdowell had east burke and south caldwell this week and was wondering how the jv team was doing.

    South Meck vs Weddington JV

    South Meck 8
    Weddington 6

    SM Highlights:

    Lee Sutton had two hits, one was a bomb over the left field wall.

    Lenin Pena pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings.

    Michael Atz pitched a 1-2-3 seventh for his second save of the year.

    South Meck JV is now 4-0. They play Butler Thursday @ SM.

    Ryan Maas started for Butler and gave up one hit.

    Unfortunately I had to leave with Ragsdale behind 4-3 in the sixth, Asheboro batting with a man on first and two outs. I do know that Walt Sparks relieved in the 5th for Ragsdale, scored tied at 3-3, bases loaded and no outs. After two quick strikes on the Asheboro catcher, a dribbler up the third base line scored a run. Walt shut them down after that to record the win.

    One putt may have a few more details.

    East Burke 5

    errors plagued the titans throughout- battled back and took a 5-3 lead in to the 6th, made more errors and left the 6th tied. Good pitching in the 7th and a triple with an error scored the winning run.
