    The left early on a tag and also the missing of a base by runner were made into appeal plays starting with the 2006/7 season.

    Sounds like Bags has a great deal of respect for the kid and as the Prov lady said it worked this time, next time it may not never know etc... Either way its HIS decision so everyone get over it! :saw:

    Jason Groce (4-0) gets the complete game win for the Patriots. Mitchell Frazier gets the loss for the Warriors. Groce also had a double and a HR. Seth Lumpkins hit a 2 run HR for Webb. Adam Norris hit a HR in the top of the 8th to win it for Southern.

    Southern 7-3, 2-0
    Webb 6-3, 1-1

    Both teams move on to play in the Hilltop Tournament next week.

    I agree Oriole. The young man is a major stud and if the situation calls for it, you walk him. They wanted to win the game and did! Coaches decision. :xyxthumbs:

    So, you have one of the best players in the southeast coming to the plate with first base open and second and third occupied?
    Talk about a "no brainer" !

    Without Mailman hitting behind him anymore he better get his walking shoes out...he will see this plenty this year.
