Boy, I wish I could see this, but I would have to use Stretchy's plane to get there

Im glad you didnt make the trip Braves!

Roxboro outclassed us in every way you can today. They out hit us. Out pitched us. Played better defense. You name it they did it better. Im sure Coach Evans will post the details once he gets the chance. Roxboro was coming off its first two L's of the year and they took it to us. I give credit to the Rockets for being ready to play and playing a very good game. To say the least we were not very good today. Hopefully we can start playing better in the near future. But rather than talking about how poorly we played I would rather congratulate Coach Evans and his players for playing a very good ball game. Roxboro 11 SG 2.

It is easy to to say nice things when everything is going right, but it shows true character to do so when things don't go your way. Nice touch

    S Granville vs Roxboro

Tough break coach. I know your team is better than that, better luck next time. Although Roxboro did play great as well. Maynard deserves props for the 12 K's he brought to the game when he was put on the hill at the end of the game.

    Person 11 10 2
    SG 2 7 2

    Morgan (W) 4 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 H, 4K, 2 BB
    Blackley (L)

    Leading Hitters: Person-Crabtree 2-4, HR, 2B, 3RBI; Ellis 2-4, 2RBI; Peed 2-4, RBI; Davis 2-3, 2B, 2RBI
    SG-Goodwin 2-4; Maynard 2-4; Darroch 2-4

Congratulations to my buddy Coach Evans for having his team well-prepared to play. His guys had a great approach at the plate and brought a gritty determination to get it done today. We did not swing it well enough to overcome a "Murphy's Law" 8-run 3rd inning. All the credit to Coach E for rallying the troops after a tough early part of the week and to the Rockets players for responding.

    We were very fortunate...

I have to give credit to my players for battling back after 2 big losses this week. We played so poorly against East Chapel Hill Tuesday, but we played well against Northern Durham on Thursday, but not well enough to win.

To beat such a quality team of players that I have a lot of respect for, and coaches that are truely friends, is quit an accomplishment for my players and I attribute it to them. They battled back!!

Hats off to Pratt Maynard he stuck it to us for 5 innings today and I was worried that with that powerful lineup that we may not hold on.

We were truely fortunate and i know SG will finish strong this year!!

One of the highlights of the day was getting to see Jon Perry (son of Coach F3, and current Campbell Univ. basketbal player), and Coach F's parents after the game. It is too easy to see why Coach is who he is!! Such a wonderful family, and his mom is a good cook!! Just good people!! It was great to chat with them!!

The other was my conversations with Kenny May.... I always learn from him!!
