Mooresville beats Alexander Central 13-12. Mooresvilles Chris Beaver pitched well and so did Chris Bonaventure. It was 13-6 going into the 7th until a few hits and a few errors made Mooresville almost lose the game

they play tomorrow at 7:30 in the championship game vs either hickory or st. stephans

East Rowan (9-2) beat Maret (Washington, D.C.) 1-0 at the Cocoa Beach Baseball Showcase in Florida on Wednesday. Corbin Shive pitched the three hit shutout for East and struck out 10 batters. Exhibit A why East will probably win the conference. Shive is a stud on the hill. Thanks for the update travis.

Exhibit B why East Rowan will probably win conference,,, going to Florida to play good teams from up and down East Coast,,, this only increases the experience factor that East Rowan has over the rest of their conference.

But they took the NPC undefeated conference leaders to a 1-0 ballgame, so I kinda doubt Maret's a bunch of scrubs.

Actually, the experience I was thinking about the East players gaining is their traveling into unknown waters to play, something that will only help them in big games later this season.

Another argument is that East will win the conference is that they have been in some close games, as the 1-0 game in Florida for example. Plus all the games that were close in conference, Mooresville game and a couple others. The point is this team never hurts itself with errors, with this team you only get 21 outs. I don't feel the other contenders have that quality of defense to contend.
