I want to say he is a junior but don't quote me. Granted Halifax Academy is having a down year and beyond Nick Short their pitching is weak Herring's bombs were still impressive. Two went out in center (350) and one in right center (345) but all were against a gusty wind. He also had a ringing double down the leftfield line. His fastball was in the low seventies but his curve really baffled the Halifax hitters. The only hit off him was a soft line between 1st and 2nd with two down in the fifth--one out from a no-no.
