If you are not doing anything around 7:00 tonight head on down to Mooresville. Big match up with E.Rowan at Mooresville. East has a 2 game lead in the NPC.

yea, ought to be a good one, a loss for East tightens things up while a win will put it surely out of reach for Mooresville.
I believe it will be Beaver for Mooresville against Shive for ER.

Its going to be a bit chilly but I'm hoping for good crowd. Certainly, no colder than the first game these two played. The Blue Devils had a good practice yesterday.

Hats off to E.Rowan. They came into Mooresville and beat them badly. They are the real deal. I am a Mooresville fan and we just schooled on how to play the game.
E.Rowan was at the field at 5:00 warming up and getting ready. As soon as they walked across the foul line E.Rowan was ready to play.

I believe Mooresville was beat before they stepped onto the field. This loss was a combination of apathy, cockyness, and lack of coaching, in my opinion. Apathy- They had a weak practice on Monday and rarely show any effort or heart and just coast to the finish of games with as little as a three run lead. Cockyness- Plain and simple they just aren't as good as they think they are. Lack of coaching- perhaps this is a bad choice of words, but compared to East Rowan it's true, Hightower is simply the best around.

Hightower IS one of the best coaches around, period,,,,, but I believe what folks are now seeing is that "experience factor" that the East Rowan players have over most of their opponents. From having so much success in the 4A conference last year, success in legion ball, those kids are just more seasoned for big games than most teams around here.

p.s. that Easter trip to play 3 games in Florida didn't hurt either...

p.s.s. Mooresville still has a great team, no shame in finishing 2nd to East this year...

Have you ever seen a pitcher strike out the first three batters and give up three runs in the first innning? Those pass balls killed MHS. Whether the sun was in the catcher's eyes or the catcher was crossed up by the pitch, MHS never recovered from that. I think the biggest mistake was not starting Au. Meadows. Mooresville will come back Friday and play much better at NWC.

    Go Devils!

I agree, a lefty with junk and a good pickoff move is the only shot you have at beating East Rowan. Meadows is exactly that pitcher, East Rowan stole a ton of bases without giving Aaron Meadows, one of the best catchers in the conference, a chance. Aubrey has a great move that can keep even the best runners close.

It does not matter who was on the mound for Mooresville. They would have lost anyway. This team has so much talent but no drive, no heart and no leadership. End of story.

I'm really interested in what any of you believe is the reason for Mooresville's demise against East Rowan. There have been a few statements above that are probably true, but what is causing this? Is it the coach, the parents, egotistical attitudes, bad attitudes, etc. I know I have my own thoughts, but just wonder what others thoughts are.
