Tyler Barnes (Sr) centerfielder from Scotland High School has been hitting the ball well. He started off the year slow but for the last three or four weeks, Tyler has been tearing the cover off the ball; a lot of line drive shots. Tyler's BA is .565, OBP .646 & slugging % is .823. He has 1 HR, 1 triple & 11 doubles. Not only can Tyler hit but he can run down balls in the outfield as well. His 60 yd is 6.9 to 7.0. This kid is a ball player, I am definately surprised that no one has picked up this kid.
He stands around 6'1" to 6'2" and 175 lbs. Note: He is an excellent student as well.
Any coaches that need any other information on this kid can PM me.

    Ricky Crabtree - Person HS

I have a young man that has really blossomed this season and really having a fine season, guys, he needs a look. To those of you that know me, I rarely tout my own players unless I am sure of them.

Ricky Crabtree (INF, plays SS for me but is actually a corner guy), is batting .440 with a slugging % of .720 and an OB% of .527. He has 2 HR, 6 -2B, 1 3B and 24 RBI's in 18 games. He has been tearing it up for the Rockets. He is very workmanlike, and simply gets the job done, no frills here. A solid player.

If you have a question, please call me.

    Ricky Crabtree

I have to second that on Crabtree. Ive seen him several times over the years and the kid is a player. Corner guy with power and a solid arm and glove. He simply makes plays and he can hit.

    A sleeper?

William Barringer from Rocky Mount always seems to fly under the radar BUT in the end he comes out on top.

Kris Richards is still unsigned but has a few offers on the table to consider according to what his coach said last week. I would expect him to decide very soon.

As the parent of a pitcher, I thank my lucky stars that my son has teammates like seniors William Barringer and Grant Johnson.

    Other Unsigned Seniors

Lloyd Enzor (Sr) - Whiteville High School
He stands 6'3" and weighs 215 lbs. Last year, Enzor was the catcher for Whiteville. This year he is basically the first baseman but he also pitches as well. He has really improved tremendously at 1B. He has a lot of power at the plate, hitting 2 HR, 1 triple & 3 doubles and also he leads the team in walks at 14. A lot teams don't won't to pitch to this guy. They have obviously seen him hit in BP. Most of the balls leave the park! He has really improved on his curve ball and he runs his FB up to 87 mph (estimate). Any college looking for a power hitter, Lloyd Enzor is the kid!

Ben Deans (Sr) - Whiteville High School
This year, Deans is playing SS for Whiteville. He has really improved his game. He started off a little rough with his fielding but now he has gotten into a groove and he is as smooth at SS as anyone in the state. He has a stong and accurate throw to 1B as well. I don't think he has made any throwing errors to first.
I really think that he could be a solid second baseman in college. At bat, he is a little over .300 but when there is a need for a hit, Deans seems to pull through. Deans can play Jr college, III or II.

Donovan Watts (Sr) - South Columbus High School
Watts is the real deal at SS. I saw him field a ball up the middle over 2B and make the throw from the grass in outfield to get the runner at first. Yes, he has a lot of range; very fast and has a strong arm. Not only strong arm but has power at the plate; line drives and home runs. Any college that needs a MIF needs to come watch this player play! Hopefully, this kid will be playing legion ball for Whiteville this summer!

    South Columbus remaining games:
    April 28 - Fairmont
    May 2nd - North Brunswick
    May 5th - @ Trask

    Whiteville remaining games:
    April 27th - West Columbus
    April 28th - East Columbus
    May 2nd - @ Pender
    May 5th - South Brunswick
