This past week while attending a baseball game, somethings I saw disturbed me. I will not say which school only that it was in the CVAC. As I was watching the game, I saw ADULTS from a school yelling at players from the opposing school. What kind of a thing is this? I can understand students from opposing schools yelling at players, but an adult? What kind of role model are you being for our young kids. I tell you one thing, had that been my son these adults were yelling at, it would not have been a good sight.

What are your opinons about this or anything similar that you may have seen at a game????

    So sad to hear this...

As long as people are in a competition to win something/anything....you can pretty much expect anything and everything. Also not everyone over the age of 18 or 21 is truly an ADULT.....shame that there are people out there ruining the fun of going to watch a baseball game.

    Agree

I agree that if it is students doing this it is just school spirit and most times that is ok. But so-called adults doing this makes me sick.

I hate it when a 14 to 18 year old kid is being harrassed by adults. That borders on child abuse and I for one would like to see them publicly flogged. I have even seen this done at the little league level. And we wonder why so many of today's youth don't know how to act.

Respect the game and respect the players.

    Too much!

Makes me sick! I was coaching a group of 12 year olds in Little League All-Stars. There were Adults(over 30) standing around the outside fence taunting our outfielders in one of the away games. I’m talking little guys 11 and 12 year olds. They had them scared to death. Really intimidating things. Why? Another life lesson learned through baseball - Some people are just mean and thoughtless. Uplift your own but leave theirs alone. Even better uplift them all!!!

I agree that you can't consider everyone ages 18-21 an adult. Any you're completely right that it is a shame that these kids have to deal with issues such as that. I thank you for you opinions on this issue. I hope that these kids today learn from the mistakes these "adults" are making and not repeat them. I know this happens at a lot of games in a lot of conferences; however, it is an issue that really shows the immature lives of these "adults."

    Report Them Immediately

When you see this go straight to

    1. A uniformed police officer assigned to the game.
    2. The Principal of the School
    3. The Athletic Director of the School

And request that the behavior stop immediately.

If that doesn't work, go to Your Own Schools Athletic Director and ask for his/her assistance.

If that doesn't work, consider pulling the kids from the field and getting on the bus and going home.

    IT'S A GAME FOLKS!!!!! It's Just a Game!
