Heart & Leadership

After reading several negative comments about the lack of Heart & Leadership on the current Mooresville Varsity baseball team, I had to register and make some comments.

First of all, this group of boys are the best baseball team Mooresville has had in almost 30 years. They are the defending conference champs, Easter Tour Champs, and while currently in 2nd place behind a great East Rowan team, are having (15-4) one of Mooresville's best overall records ever. Guys, you don't accomplish these feats without outstanding talent, desire, heart, and leadership. If you watched the Lake Norman game Tuesday night or saw the West Iredell game last year (at WI a big comeback, you saw a group with HEART that is learning to expect to win. In fact this year's team has had a number of comeback wins.

When I read other posts about other team's players, they are positive and promote the kids. That is what we should be doing. In my opinion, If we don't have something positive to say about a player, then don't say anything at all. We have outstanding student/athletes on this team and should be promoting, not degrading their play. I remember watching us beat West Rowan twice last year and the pride I felt in the Team. I saw a desire and fire to win that only a winner has.

I asked you guys not to do this. Obviously, you don't care what I had to say. And for you, dynomite, to sign up here with the only intention to stir up a mess after my warning...well, since you don't like the board; go find another one.
