I am sad to report that today Landon Warren did not get a hit in a softball game for the first time in her High School career. Her record setting streak ended at 75 consecutive games.

Landon, you should be VERY proud of yourself and this accomplishment. The streak is over, no big deal. That just means that you need to start another one to finish off this year and continue it with NC State next year.

    Congratulations Landon and great job!

Landon, it is amazing what you have accomplished in 4 years of HS softball. You've set a record that will stand for years. Hope to see ya play at NC State. Jeff you have a lot to be proud of. I hope to see you soon. Maybe at Walnut Creek for the state championships.

    Way to go

The Cape Fear Storm Family is very proud of Landon and all she has accomplished so far and all we know she will accomplish at the next level.

    Opponent

The opponent was Wake Forest Rollesville. They used two pitchers but I don't know their names.

I know a young lady probably would have challenged this record at East Forsyth, Carleigh Nester, but early this spring she stretch some ligaments/hairline fracture of her ankle and missed numerous games. She has since come back and is now playing again but last year as a freshman, she played in 21 games and got a hit in every game. She has the rest of this year and her junior and senior year to attack that kind of record but again....that is unbelieveable...better than Joe Dimaggio!!!
