East/West State Games (Graduating Seniors)

    Does anyone know, when will the players for the East/West Senior game be announced?

    Tryouts were rained out for the west on Sunday. They are next Sunday.

    The East finished theirs on Sat. there was nothing on the NC State Games web site that indicated the Wests tryouts were rained out. In fact it says there is "no weather cancellation". (In years past communication was much better.)

    May 4th is the make up day for the West at West Rowan H.S.

    Does anyone know when we can expect the teams to be announced?

    sure the coaches of the team contacted "personally" those who made it, therefore no contact no make! Sorry!

    I'm sure everyone realizes that, considering the number of players. Is there a date or dates when players can expect to be notified or not? May 4th is the last day of tryouts, June 11th is the game. It seems reasonable to say they can set a date or window so all involved have an idea. I'm sure you agree. Last year players where contacted on various days.

    Since some of the coaches are members of this board, perhaps they will reply what the process is this year.

    sorry to sound like such a...well...you know....last night. west candidates were notified by e-mail of the cancellation and rain date for next weekend.

    stressing out here a little bit. we here in the CVAC had our games last night cancelled and are in a very tight battle with Hibriten and St. Stephens. it all comes down to tonight and it boggles the mind that if strike-em-out is right, we could be co-conference champions and still not make playoffs if Hickory wins the conference tournament. anyway, no need to take it out on you...

    Who knows what will happen

    Don't be surprised if you don't get any communication if you don't make the team. During the last couple of years people I know who made the teams were contacted fairly quickly after the tryouts, and those that didn't make the team went un-contacted.

    Sorry it's tough sitting there wondering, but that is how it appears it gets handled most often. You can always see if your coach can contact the coaches for you.
