Most of us have read the story or heard about the softball player who hit a HR and tore her ACL rounding first. Two players from the other team carried her around the bases and the video with ESPN story is worth 6 min of your time to watch.

As we head into playoff season where everything seems so important maybe it'll keep sportsmanship in perspective for all of us

If you're a player or a coach do you wonder what you would have done?

    Thank you

Thank you so much for sharing this link. I had read the story here on TBR on another post but WOW, seeing the video and hearing from the participants, was beyond touching.

I work in a middle school and by this time of year I sometimes start to worry about my Golden years, if the kids I see everyday are going to be the ones taking care of things. I see so much disrespect every day from so many students!! When I leave at the end of the day, I wonder if there is anything I could do to make these kids realize that they can not go out in the world and treat an employer the same way. What's sad is that it often overshadows the good deeds and academic accomplishments of the other students. I wish all young children could grow up participating in some type of team sport, because as this video shows, they learn so much more than how to throw and catch.

This video definitely helps restore my faith in today's youth.

I sent this video link to our entire staff to help get us all through to the end of the year and to make sure I wasn't the only one with tears running down my face.:SCA+HL:

Thanks for posting the video link to the story. The written story was good enough, but watching the video added so much more.
