    (1) Mount Pleasant 15
    (8) Albemarle 0
    (3 innings)

    In first game of Conference Tournament, one seed Mount Pleasant shutout eight seed Albemarle in 3 innings. K. Reynolds and M. Edwards combined for the shutout / no hitter. K. Reynolds went the first inning with 3 SO's and M. Edwards closed the last two innings with 3 SO's and 1 BB. Top hitters for Mount were J. Parnell with a 2 RBI homerun and S. Ritchie with a 2 RBI Homerun (JV freshman playing her first Varsity game). K. Ross also hit an in the park HR using her speed to round the bases for a score.
    Mount travels to South Stanly where the remainder of the tournaments will be played. Wednesday's game at 5:00 will be against the winner of the (4) S. Stanly / (5) Forest Hills game played tonight.

    GO TIGERS!!!

    Congratulations to TC and Tuscola, looks by the score it must have been a good game. Seems strange not to see Enka at the top!

    RamsFan, the message in your post is at least equal to a full month of coaching!! This is the type of message and attitude the girls should hear all the way home and then some!! West has a great bunch of girls and with your kind of support they can't lose--no matter what the final score!! Bless you and all the others who truly love all these girls!!

    WOW!!!!!...Coach Moe told me that SE and the .....

    ....kid pitching, Strickland?, sorry, I'll get her name right in quick fashion,...but anyway, Coach Moe said that these kids are tough! Congrats to SE for the win, WJ for the 1st place in the conf., and to Garner playing the game win or lose as it should be played. Classy bunch of good kids!!!! Good luck Greater Neuse in the 4A playoffs!

    Self 2-3, Sarah Teague 3 hits, Mary Catherine Stroupe, Camille Freeman and several others with key hits and moving runners overs.
    Cherryville also played good defense.

    Cherryville moves into sole 1st place in the Southern Peidmont.

    I don't know the name of the RS player (I believe it was the shortstop), but she had two out of the park homeruns. Congratualtions to her.

    Friday will be Senior night at KM (vs Burns) and the last game of the regular season. Best of luck to the Seniors as they play their last regular season game as a Mountaineer. :30:

    Playoffs begin next week.
