    The Mountain Athletic started it's conference tournament today 5/9. Short of a 5-6-7 seed winning and outing the #4 seed this is how it stands;

    #1 seed TC Roberson

    #2 seed Tuscola

    #3 seed Enka

    #4 seed Franklin

    The way that I understand it is if a seed lower than number 2 wins the tournament that team will take over the number 2 spot. Say if Enka wins the tourament that puts them in number 2 and Tuscola will move to number 3. There has been some confusion and I have been told different things, but this is how I interpreted the rules. Do you have any insight on this?

    I have heard the same thing from several different people. We'll find out today as the conference tournament will come to a close with what should be several good games!

    This comes directly from NCHSAA website.
    - In sports where conference tournaments are played, the number one seed from a conference will be the regular season champion, with the number two seed (if two berths are guaranteed) the conference tournament winner. If a team below number two in the conference wins the tournament, it becomes the number two seed.
