ACC gets 4 into Softball tourney

    UNC, VT, FSU, and GT got berths to the NCAA tourney. UNC will host a region this year! NCSU had to be in the running, but came up a little short.

    Yeah, NCSU pretty much had to win the VT game to get in yesterday. RPI was in the 50s coming into that game I believe I read somewhere.

    yes have to agree but

    State won only 8 of 21 conf regular season games; GT won 9 and got in the regionals. And State beat GT all 3 times they played this season. go figure..............but I know there's more to consider.

    Issue

    Problem last year was all ACC teams lost in first round except Fla State I believe so NCAA did not believe in conference enough to put an extra in the game. If UNCC or VT get hot, they could make noise deep in playoffs.:sultan:
