buying bats from ebay

    Its not that they dont honor the warranty its that your ebay receipt isnt the original receipt. If you are buying a used bat on ebay ask for a copy of the original receipt. If the seller will not supply you with a valid receipt then dont buy it.

    Ebay Bats

    I know three people that have been scammed on ebay for buying bats! Watch out! Scammers know that people will pay hundreds of dollars for used bats and they'll get you!

    not to argue, just to set it straight, anderson will not honor the warranty of any bat purchased for less than map pricing on ebay or any other point of sale. this comes directly from Wally at anderson bat. All distributors were informed of this in the last couple of weeks.

    If warranties were handed out for 2nd hand.......

    .......items then bats would cost $3000, not $300!. Buyer beware! Other items that I'd like to see warrantied:
    1. That piece of crap restrurant that Momma and I bought that went SOUTH!
    2. Every used car I ever bought
    3. Every toy I ever bought for my kids that sucked. You know, the electric football game where no matter what play you call all of the players buzz to the middle!

    Get my point? Obviously we all want the best deals for things such as bats in this thread. Hey, if someone else is trying to get rid of a product, maybe thats your sign that its not all that! Go to your coaches, batting cage owners and reps. and get THE most for your money.

    good point marlinfan, but everyone still must remember that bats are just tools, proper swing techniques make the batter, not the bat.
